Scott Simpson

Sports have always been a part of my life. We, as a family, spent many years at the rink and the ball diamonds, and making many friends along the way. I also played hockey in the Leamington minor hockey system and hours and hours of road hockey. I still play recreationally in the area a couple times a week. I got an opportunity to work for the Leamington Flyers as a teenager and enjoyed that experience very much. I have always enjoyed fixing things and I am happy to be able to take that skill and add bicycle repairs and maintenance to our business.
After a life altering accident I had the opportunity to work with my brother, and with the assistance of our parents, we decided we would open our own business. I am proud to share my life with Michelle and our two special dogs – Sonny and Gibby.

Jeff Simpson

I cannot remember a time when I did not enjoy sports. I enjoyed watching my dad and my uncles and my cousins participate on hockey and baseball teams and watching the Red Wings and the Lions and even watching the bad boys win in the early 90s. I used to sneak into the Leamington Flyers games and practices when I was younger. One day I was watching training camp and was asked to help out. That day lead to a 5-year adventure that helped shape the rest of my life. From the Flyers I went on to work for the Windsor Spitifres. This goes down as one of the greatest experiences of my life and I cherish that opportunity. I went on to work for a half season with the Detroit Vipers and after losing game 7 of the Turner Cup Finals riding home in the back of a stinky equipment truck I asked myself if that was really what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. It turned out to be the last game I ever worked.
I went to work at MAXIMUM EDGE at the main store in Windsor ON. I love working for a company that is cutting edge that deals with NHL teams and solves problems for players all over the world. My brother and I decided that we wanted to bring that knowledge and experience to our hometown. I am married to Danielle and we have two children – Noah and Meaghan.

Jim & Pat Simpson (by Jeff and Scott)

Our parents, Pat and Jim, in addition to supporting us as we grew into men, have worked and volunteered in the community. Jim played and coached hockey and baseball for many years. He is always proud to say he was one of the hockey players that started playing hockey at the old Leamington Arena on Erie Street North when it opened in the early 50′s. He is a Meritorious Life member of Branch 84, Royal Canadian Legion, Leamington. He has been a Legion member since 1965 – he joined after serving in the Army from 1961-1964. He has dedicated the last 20 years to serving the veterans of our area as a member of the Zone and District Command, as well as serving at his local Branch, of the Royal Canadian Legion. He was awarded the Queen’s Jubilee medal in 2002 for his dedicated work with the Legion and his contributions to the community. Jim retired from Chrysler Canada after 33 years of service.
Pat retired from the Municipality of Leamington, a job that she loved, in December of 2002. She has also done her share of community service work. She was a long time member of the IODE and also served on the Executive of Branch 84 of the Legion and worked to help to support the programs that provide scholarships and bursaries to the youth of our community.
